Housing and Dining Administration supports, educates, and enriches student experiences by providing the highest quality housing and dining services. Develops, implements, operationalizes, and supports collaborative residential and dining programs.

Manager: The positions work is achieved through the direction of others. Managers have direct accountability for setting goals and using resources. They are responsible for administrative oversight of individuals, including conducting recommendations for hiring and termination, writing evaluations, disciplinary actions, day-to-day oversight as well as long-term goal setting and accountability for the performance and productivity of the employees. Managerial positions are reflected in the M1-M3 career track levels in the management/leadership track.

Supervisor: Supervises experienced administrative, operative, and/or technical roles. Coordinates schedules and workflow for the team. Focuses on team completion of assignments and is responsible for ensuring the orientation and training of employees.

Position Summary

The Academic Supervisor within Housing and Dining Administration plays a vital role in enhancing the on-campus living and dining experience by supervising staff and coordinating day-to-day operations that support student engagement and success. This position ensures that housing and dining programs align with the university’s mission to foster an inclusive and supportive residential community, where students can thrive both academically and socially. In this role, the supervisor oversees a team responsible for implementing housing and dining services and ensures that programs are delivered efficiently and consistently. Responsibilities include managing work schedules, providing training and orientation, and facilitating the resolution of operational and student concerns. The supervisor also supports the execution of residential programs and dining initiatives that enrich student life, prioritize well-being, and uphold safety standards. The position collaborates closely with colleagues in Residence Life, Student Services, and campus dining partners to ensure seamless program delivery and continuous improvement of services. Through team leadership, communication, and coordination, the Academic Supervisor contributes to a positive campus environment and provides an essential link between students and university resources designed to support their holistic development.
