Position Summary

The Senior Academic Coordinator within Student Affairs plays a vital role in the leadership and administration of student services aimed at supporting students' academic, personal, and professional growth. This position is responsible for overseeing a variety of student services functions, such as academic advising, student engagement, and learning support. The Senior Academic Coordinator works collaboratively with faculty, staff, and departments across the university to ensure that students receive the support they need to navigate their academic journey and thrive in both co-curricular and academic environments. As a senior-level contributor, this role demands expertise in program management, advising, and leadership. The Senior Academic Coordinator will lead initiatives that promote student success, including workshops, advising programs, and events that enhance student development. Additionally, the position involves coordinating resources, evaluating student needs, and creating strategic solutions to address those needs. This includes implementing student services programs that improve academic performance, personal growth, and overall well-being, while ensuring alignment with the university’s broader goals for student success. With significant autonomy, the Senior Academic Coordinator is expected to make independent decisions and provide leadership within the department. This role may involve overseeing a team of academic advisors or student services professionals, mentoring staff, and helping to establish departmental goals. The Senior Academic Coordinator is also responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of student services programs, making data-driven improvements, and ensuring that students receive the highest level of support in their academic and co-curricular experiences. Through these responsibilities, this role directly impacts the academic and personal success of students across the university.
