Deliver the programs, services, facilities and administrative functions that facilitate the co-curricular environment of a college or university and enhance the educational experiences of its students toward their self-exploration, learning and development.
Management / Leadership
Manager: The positions work is achieved through the direction of others. Managers have direct accountability for setting goals and using resources. They are responsible for administrative oversight of individuals, including conducting recommendations for hiring and termination, writing evaluations, disciplinary actions, day-to-day oversight as well as long-term goal setting and accountability for the performance and productivity of the employees. Managerial positions are reflected in the M1-M3 career track levels in the management/leadership track.
Level 1
Supervisor: Supervises experienced administrative, operative, and/or technical roles. Coordinates schedules and workflow for the team. Focuses on team completion of assignments and is responsible for ensuring the orientation and training of employees.

Position Summary

The Academic Supervisor within Student Affairs plays a key role in supporting student success by overseeing the delivery of co-curricular programs and services that enhance the holistic development of students. Working within the broader Student Services division, this position helps implement student-centered initiatives in areas such as student engagement, leadership development, wellness, and residential life. The supervisor supports the planning and coordination of services that promote self-exploration, community involvement, and the acquisition of life skills that complement the academic experience. In alignment with the goals of Student Affairs, the supervisor ensures that programs and services foster inclusive, developmentally appropriate experiences that prepare students for healthy, productive, and fulfilling lives. The position collaborates with campus partners to facilitate a vibrant co-curricular environment and supports the execution of activities that encourage student learning outside the classroom. The supervisor assists in identifying student needs, monitoring program outcomes, and providing feedback to continuously improve services that contribute to student growth and well-being. As a Level 1 Supervisor in the academic administration and management track, this role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day team operations, coordinating workflow, and ensuring staff are trained and equipped to support students effectively. The supervisor provides guidance to a team of administrative or program staff, supports onboarding and ongoing professional development, and ensures successful completion of departmental assignments. This position requires a proactive, student-focused leader capable of balancing administrative responsibilities with a hands-on approach to delivering high-quality student support services.
