Student Services is responsible for the management and administration of work in multiple student services specialties, including but not limited to academic advising, career services, admissions, financial aid, student advocacy and support, health and wellness services, student engagement and development, learning support services, and housing and residential life.

Individual contributor roles are reflected in the Academic Administration, Development, General Administration, Technical/STEM, and C1-C4 of the Clinical tracks.

Position Summary

The Senior Academic Coordinator within Student Services plays a critical role in supporting and enhancing the academic and personal success of students. With an advanced understanding of student needs and academic resources, this position is responsible for the coordination and execution of a range of academic services, such as advising, tutoring, and learning support. The Senior Academic Coordinator works closely with other departments and faculty to ensure that students are provided with comprehensive academic support, helping them navigate their academic journey and achieve their educational goals. In this role, the Senior Academic Coordinator is expected to exercise a high degree of independence, taking responsibility for overseeing the daily operations of multiple academic services. They collaborate with staff to improve and refine programs, often leading the development of new initiatives and monitoring their effectiveness. The Senior Academic Coordinator will also manage complex student cases, providing guidance to other coordinators or support staff as needed, ensuring that all academic programs run smoothly, and that students have access to the necessary resources for success. They are a subject matter expert on policies and procedures and serve as a primary point of contact for both students and staff seeking guidance on academic matters. As an experienced individual contributor, the Senior Academic Coordinator may also lead small teams or initiatives, providing mentorship and support to other coordinators or team members. They are expected to handle a diverse range of responsibilities with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. This position requires a combination of advanced academic knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to coordinate multiple projects. The Senior Academic Coordinator works to ensure that all student services align with the institution's mission, promoting academic success and contributing to the overall student experience.
